Abstract

Bruce LaBruce asked me what the poster for The Visitor (2025) told me, and from this encounter between feet and Pasolini, I found a queercore scene in a punk Toronto.
In an interview with the Canadian director, we talked about anarchism, pornography, and marginal cinema, recalling a past of nights in lesbian bars and leather parties where skinheads, bikers, ex-convicts, and queers rebuild a world that turns Warhol’s canned soup into something served in the darkroom’s shadows. After all, if there were to be a queer apocalypse, Bruce LaBruce would be the prophet of a new truth that never existed about sex.
